Default 1995 cobra a/c problems

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone can help me out on this issue, im at a loss. I have a 95 cobra 5.0 and my a/c clutch keeps turning on and off by itself every 6 seconds or so. I used a gauge that comes on the cans of R-134A and it says ive got the right amount of pressure in the system. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Thanks
Gerard

That is a normal cycle for the a/c, mine does that too.If it is ice cold, then dont worry about it.

if the ac clutch is kicking on and off and its making a difference in rpm the clutch is atleast functioning, the cycle might be off need to check specs. but if it is working most likely you have a a clogg in the a/c usually occur at the orifice tube. other places can be the condenser, evaporator, or accumulator. best way to find out is to have your car serviced they can hook up manifold gauges to the a/c low pressure side and high pressure side. hopefully this helps!

It may very well be the o-rings ,they tend to dry out and no longer seal. O-ring are on the a/c hoses, there is a special tool to remove them, then the system needs to be vaced dry then refilled.

the a/c system shows full if it was a oring you would have a leak not having a full system, if it was a leak it will leave a lime green residue around the hose connector
