Default 60lb injector tuning question

I just bought a set of 60lb injectors yesterday, the harnesses, and a new set of plugs, and I have an sct livewire, which for the moment is just using the preloaded tune. This does have a parameter for the 60lb's but I am wondering if it safe. Is there any chance of fouling my new plugs? Also, is it true that in order to run 60lb's you need to swap for a bigger MAF? Thanks for your help guys!

What car is this going on? Why are you even considering the change? If you aren't running a blower or nitrous it's probably not needed...a good tuner can advise you on what to upgrade: yes, it may be required to replace the MAF since the 60lb injectors may max out the stock one...you should also upgrade your fuel pump to a 255lph as well...it's a big boyz game, it takes alot of money to play

Like Andre said, you didn't mention what your putting the 60lb. injectors in. But as far as the MAF is concerned, yes you will have to put a bigger MAF like an SCT BA-2600 or BA-2800. I would imagine, your talking serious Horsepower with 60lb. injectors. I have 60lb. injectors in the BOSS, you see in the Avitar which I had to detune for better street manners. It has a 71 429 SCJ, with an F-2 Pro Charger and puts out 780rwhp and 820rwtq, it also has a Viper 6 speed to handle the power, and for fuel economy ha ha, Mike. SCT Tuner.

Sorry guys i forgot to mention its for my 03 cobra. I want to put a 6# lower pulley and port through Stiegemier. My goal is over 500 to the wheels. Do you think I need 60#s? My boss was saying i would be better off with something smaller for idle quality.

No 60's will be fine, you might be maxing out the 42's when you add more Boost, Once you add the new pulley, port work, injectors etc.. get a custom Dyno Tune it's the only way to go, or at the very least get in on a Wideband O2 to see where your at!

What stage port from steggy? Once i get my car back, i'm sending my blower off to them also. It sort of all depends though. If you go 6lb lower and a stage 4 or 5 port and you have all other bolt ons you probably will need a better, not bigger, mass air or the diablo mafia and 60lb injectors, maybe pumps or a BAP. All cars are different. I've seen some peg the maf but not exceed the fuel injectors( since tuners can increase the pulse width) and i've seen some exceed the fuel injectors and not peg the maf. To me, get it and have it tuned for it and if you go for even more power down the road, you already have the parts to keep it happy.
