Default 1999 Cobra Throttle Body Upgrade

Don't what everyone else is useing for an upgraded throttle body. My Cobra has all the bolts on done except the throttle body. I was looking on American muscle and there are a couple of choices. The first is a 60mm Accufab, then BBK 62mm and a BBK 65mm. What ones are everyone else useing what do you recomend. I figure the BBK 65mm. Hope I can get somefeed back. Thanks

Accufab single blade, that's just my opinion. But to me I would say the best, throttle body for an upgrade. I run a single blade on my 96 SVT Cobra, and it runs great also heavily modified. 402rwhp and 418rwtq N/A, Mike. SCT Tuner.

I checked it out they say the single blade is for the 96-98 Cobra and 01 Bullet. Thanks for the reply.

Are you sure? My neighbor has an 04, with a single blade Accufab Throttle Body. Then again, it may be because it's supercharged, Mike.

I think it is because of the intake. I'm not a 100% sure mostly going on what they list on american muscle.

You can modify the intake for the single blade if needed, it's just a matter of cutting out the middle of the intake, I have a 90mm Accufab on my 96...it's fab, pun intended..get you one, they work great

It's just the difference, in the plenum the center section needs to be cut out. 90mm Accufab single blade, seems to be the way to go. I have the same on my 96 SVT Cobra Convertible also, and they take a big gulp of air that can be clearly heard, Mike. SCT Tuner.

+1 on the accufab TB.

A buddy of mine upgraded to an accufab on his terminator, you can hear it, and ive heard nothing but good things.

Spend the $350 somewhere else, if you haven't done cams, head work etc.. your not gonna gain much at all changing the TB!

Thanks for the info Brutal. I have done all the bolts on just not the TB. I don't plan on doing the cams and head work until the motor needs rebuilding. Only other thing I got left to do is replace the stock cats with some highflow ones and then get a tune. That should help some.

YES Definitely get the stock cats off, they weigh a TON and choke the exhaust SO Bad! And a tune is another great idea, the ones preloaded on Flash Tuners are pretty much crap! I found that out on the Dyno!
