Default 04 Cobra track suspension tips

Hey guys,
I know you have probly all seen these questions before but i need some help deciding whether coil-over suspension kit is my best setup for track use such as streets of willow.
any input would be greatly appreciated.

ahhhh Yeah way better than what you have. Are you gonna to the nasa event at the end of may?
You can send your rear shocks to MM and for $40 have them grooved for a MM coil over kit. or just buy 2 hd bilstiens already grooved and the coil over kit. A bump steer and SS brake lines with hawk blues or dtc pads and you will have the same set up I ran at cal speedway. Oh toyo 888r this is the best mods you can do 275s will fit on the stock cobra rims. Are you sure its the small track? Your hi HP car wont be much fun on the little track. But on the big one or better yet cal speedway . July 31-aug2 cal speedway. That is the track!


You will need to get your car scaled with coil overs and will need CC plates If you are going that far do the bump steer kit and have a chassis shop set the whole car up for you $300. The alignment will need to set up to front and rear. Atomic motorsport concepts did my set up and its great. They are in san diego right next to my shop.
They also race at the nasa events.

Cool man, thanks for the advice. i wont be able to make any events by may gotta get roll bar. But im working on getting all set up for track.
already got the hawks and nitto nt05's.
Some guy at my girlfriends work was telling me not to use coil-overs because it probobly is not the right set up for my car, he said he has a del sol(hehehe) and that if i wanna have a good setup to use struts and sway bars and stuff instead.

well he is wrong. You still will use sway bars just put coil overs on. And by the way you dont need a roll cage unless its a rag top. Drive your car down to my shop and I will install it all and have it scaled for you if you have never done it.

MM coil overs for bilstiens
MM CC plates
Mm bump steer kit(tappered)

Around $1100 for parts

It will handle so much better than stock springs. You can not adjust ride height or cross weight your car for turns. The best thing you could do is a griggs sla set up or an agent 47 and neither one of these are strut front ends.

try for the july 31st date at cal speedway hpde $300 to run but well worth the money

Its a rag top so thats why i need roll cage, man i really appreciate your input you have helped me alot
