i just had a detroit locker, 31 spline axles 3:73 gears, and an aluminum driveshaft. locker is very noisy this is normal i was told. Heres the story i had the gears put it in and the speedo is not off like it should be because the guy told me he didnt have the speedo gear and would install at a later time, also the pull does not seem any different from when i got it before..... How can i check and see what gears are in it without actually taking the rearend apart is there any way?? Im really stumped i dont want to accuse them of not using the parts but it just doesnt seem right to me. Also i had a 02 gt live axle swapped in and they should have 3:27 gears i think?? would i feel any difference from those to a 3:73. Please help me

How are your RPMS since the swap? Is it revving higher at lets says 50 mph? And yes you should be able to feel a change from 3.27 to 3.73? You'd have to pull the diff cover to count the ring and pinion!

i dont really notice a change in the rpms i mean if there is its a minimal change. I dont know what gears where in it before just had the whole live axle assembly installed. I did read on here rotating the tire once and looking how many times your driveshaft spins will tell you what gears you have, i just did that and the driveshaft spun 3 and 3/4 so im guessing they are 3:73s? I also havent really gotten on it completely but i should have noticed the pull regardless i would think.
