2003 Cobra air intake and exhaust setup, what to get?
I recently bought an 03 cobra. It is stock. I would like to get some upgrades. I was thinking of getting an air intake and exhaust. I love this car and I am really into cars but don't know much on how they work. I hear and see a lot on jlt and K&N intakes and stuff like o/r x pipes and h pipes brands like borla, bassani, magnaflow, and flowmaster. I live in California so i need stuff that is 50 state leagl. Please give me some suggestions. I am also looking in to get a pulley and tune. What do you guys thnk.
Save the cold air intake money and just put a good K/N filter in the factory box, a pulley/sct chip and tune are a good way to get easy horsepower, 2 chamber Flowmasters or similar don't add to performance but sound really cool...a Pro 5.0 shifter is a great upgrade...have fun, those terminators don't need alot of tweaks to really make them go alot faster

JLT RAI for the intake, Long tubes are a MAJOR PITA, I'd only recommend doing it if the motor is pulled or dropping the K-Member, but they do produce Verified Big Gains on your motor.
Since your in Cali get a catted H or X, the Midpipe is each owners personal taste which one they choose, also the same with the CatBack Kit! A shifter upgrade is smart as is the pulley and Custom tune, if you really want to light up the pavement get your Eaton Ported, there's guys running 10's with them and producing Kenne Bell power numbers on the Dyno!
BUT For Sure if you change pullies DON'T drive it til you get a quality tune for your Mods!
just remember once you got past 8lbs of boost, you will trip a code in the computer and you will get a service engine light.... and if you have an extended warranty on one it will be voided.
