You'll need the Cobra driveshaft, but its 5/8" too short. UPR sells an adapter for this. I believe you should also go with the Cobra IRS pinion flange, so the Ujoint will mate up properly. I'm quoting from memory here, so double check with UPR and search the site for more data. Others are running this combo, so I know its not impossible to do.

If you haven't already paid for it I'd reconsider, the Gearing in the T-56 that comes in the Supercharged Cobra isn't Great for a normally aspirated car unless it has 4.30 or more rear end gears!
If you plan on drag racing your car that 1st gear is gonna hurt you!

What comes stock in the 97? Is it a T-45? If so I'd keep it, that's the lightest on any tranny for the stangs. Why do you need a change? Is it broken?

If you're looking for a 6 speed, the 600 will get you there.

Contact Richard at www.keislerauto.com - they sell the TKO600, and also have the best solution to rebuild the T-45 that I know of.

If you plan to NEED a transmission that can handle mountains of torque, the 600 will defnitely do that.

its got the stock t45 with a stage 3 spec clutch which is slowly destroying the tranny lol but wen i take off quick it makes a loud screeching sound it vibrates alot sometimes it lock in reverse and i cnt slam in second cause it grinds alot or it throws it back out and im gonna eventually have my car running at least 500 hp so im going to need a tranny that can handle i dont really mind 5 or 6 but ive heard the tko are very knotchy and there mostly for racing not everyday driving i still need the car to be streetable

Keisler has an upgraded "R" kit for the T45 that might handle more power, but I doubt its meant to go over 400hp at the rear wheels.

But talk to them about your ideas. Depending on how LONG term you're talking about building 500hp, you might want to just rebuild what you have for now, particularly since they have some nice upgrades that will make it stronger and last longer.

Get you a good shifter at the same time, of course.

Simply have your T-45 Built by Pro-Motion, their PMP T-45 is a RockCrusher tranny running in 9 second cars and capable of 700 yes 700 HP and over 7K shifts, something the tko will never let you do unless PMP builds it at a Much higher cost, send em your core and about $1500 and don't ever worry about it!
They replace the Weak 10 spline input shaft with a Liberty 26, use carbon fiber synchros and every other Beefy part imaginable, the rebuild is blueprinted etc.. Trust me these guys are the Best! Plus who talked you into a Spec 3 for your combo? WAY TOO MUCH Clutch!
ProMotion Powertrain

ya ill prob do that instead...i know its way too much clutch people were trying to talk me out of it but i was being stupid n figured why change the clutch twice when i can get a stage 3 which is good for later on when i get the power but now im paying for it cause its eating up my tranny

When you make the switch go to a Fidanza Aluminum Flywheel (I've heard GREAT feedback about this piece!)and the clutch isn't eating up your Tranny, your cable is probably out of adjustment and it isn't engaging and disengaging correctly, especially at high Rpms! The PMP T-45 with that Flywheel and your Spec 3 will be a Solid foundation you won't have to worry about for Awhile!
Reggie (Forums Moderator) has a Pro-Motion T-5 and raves about it and the Normally aspirated Cobra Guys LUV Walt and his Team! I'm not sure if the price would be cheaper if you mailed them your broken one and had it Rebuilt (Is this car your daily driver?)either way the price is Very Fair for what you get, I bet the cost of that T-56 you were looking at was at least $1500?
