Default 95 cobra computers

Im picking up a 95 cobra this weekend and i hear the computers in them suck. like it dosent give you full power unless you have been at wot for 8seconds or something like that. i was looking at a jet performance module for it. would this help out. i know a custom chip is the best way to go but i dont want to keep getting retuned everytime i put parts on it. plus it wouldnt be too modified. i just want to get rid of that stupid power issue.

The JET chip is pure crap...X's 10. It will bump timing and maybe adjust fuel but you can adjust your timing yourself with the distributor.
The EEC IV's do suck in those cars but only when you add bigger cam or heads or so on. Usually a dyno tune with a chip will fix that.
But JET equals CRAP-lol

The 94-95 computers dont allow as much tuning as the 87-93 ones. I had a 94 and 95 cobra and had good success with an XE270hr cam as well as a 150 shot of nitrous. I gusee it depends on how far you want to go with the motor.

I did the cai on my 95 and it is running lean. I believe I need a chip burned for it. Make sure to get a Fuel Pressure Regulator. It will help when you do the cai.

I have been "twisting" over the chip question for awhile now. I pulled the trigger today and ordered a Superchip (not the tuner, the Blue Module). I told you all that to asks this..... The chip install calls for 180 deg thermostat.... Is that really needed???
