long tube headers

I am thinking about getting ,the long tube headers installed on my 03 cobra,I already have an off road pipe with 2 chamber flowmasters, it sounds good now,but how will it sound after the install?

It will sound good... but imo,my 2cent, don't spend the money. It will hurt performance, they are a pain in the butt to install, a good set will set you back $7-800 and you'll really gain nothing, just loose some tq. If you ever step up with a kb/whipple with some high boost, then they will make a much bigger difference.

Thanks for the advice,I really need to spend the money on tires instead, and yea I dont want to lose the performance.

Tires (as you know) can be the one major performance thing to do. All the power is worth nothing if your not putting it to the pavement. I've ask the guys here what their favorate tire is and got alot of good responces. I personally am looking to get the Nitto NT05. There is a write up in the latest edition of MM&FF. It really depends on your driving habits.

Yeah save your cash til the motor is out of the engine bay before putting LT's on, they actually do produce pretty big numbers on the Dyno for the Normally aspirated 99-01's but your gonna be set back like $500 for labor!

They are a pain to install but sound great and make power. I had to laugh when I saw the exhaust manifolds ford used on my 03 Cobra. They are smaller than what is on my chics civic.
as for tires if you got the $$ Toyo 888r will stick you to the ground. I have 2 sets of stock rims 1 set with 888rs and the other with yokohamas pro street tires. When I put the street tires back on WOW! Its all about the tires. The Toyos were so much better. But of course will wear 2 times as fast

fwiw..on my 03 cobra i have lt`s....the o/r xpipe might not fit for longtubes..

they make 2 different pipes
