Default 2004 Mustang cobra feels wobbly

Hey guys i have an 04 cobra with 50k miles and at about 40k started noticing it was feeling kinda wobbly or unsteady already put new tires on and it feels the same and before i go replacing all bushings and bearings and what not i figured see if anyone else with a teminator has had any similar problems, also when im going slow in a parking lot or such the front makes strange clunking noises on occasion.

once again i appreciate any assistance you guys can give me

sounds like it might be time for new shocks/struts.

clunk is ball joints more than likely...wobble could be the rack/pinion or power steering...

Why go to the Trouble of putting expensive coilovers on?
You already have High End Bilstein Shocks and Struts that come equipped stock and I'm sorry I have a hard time believing their your problem with the miles on your car! You need to get your car on a lift to inspect the front suspension bushings, sway bar, ball joints etc.. If I were you I'd put some lowering springs on her with 4 Bolt Maximum Motorsports CC Plates, get it aligned by someone reputable and then enjoy the lower stance and superior handling! If interested I have a New in Box set of Eibach Springs Pro Kit 1.5 lowering for the 99-04 SVT Cobra with IRS for $190 and I'll take care of the $35 shipping, That's close to $50 bucks cheaper than any other place you'll find! I think its way too soon for the shocks/struts to go. I mean, its a Cobra, its not cheap, and it has a lot of quality and effort put into its design and construction... I cant seem to determine the wobble problem. Maybe a thorough inspection with a lift, like Brutal Metal said, can determine the problem and perhaps your solution?

Sweet advice guys.
yeah i was thinking the same as for the shocks/struts, as for the coil-overs i have had them planned before i got the car i want to be able to raise and lower and have kickass handling.
alright i will start by replacing ball joints than its gonna have to be rack/pinion because i have checked it out and have had a buddy who is mech check it he said unfortunately it might be r/p.
wheel bearings dont go out at 50k do they? only because it would be another cheap option hehe. shes my baby and i will spend what i need tho

Well, if you do actually change your bearings, then you reset the counter to 0

Default 04 cobra

any part on the car can go bad at any time...

if it helps,,,my 03 is a dd..it has 235k and has had most of the common problems....

rack and pinion bushings clunk and allow play in the steering...as do the inner tie rod ends,,,

also the frame mount sway bar bushings wear out on the inside and allow a floating feeling to happen..

goodluck with yours

Thanks hotcobra thats good stuff, thats the kind of stuff going on with mine, plus the steering wheel vibrates real bad when i get up to speeds above 50-60mph.
ive already started ordering bushings wheel bearings, bumpsteer kits, balljoints and i will order rack and pinion kit if all these things dont make it better.

thanks guys for everything you have helped out big time

you sure it's not a bad tire? All this sounds like one has internal separation or is waaay out of balance...all the suspension work seems a more like "spray and pray"
