how do you tell if a injector is misfireing or bad i recently took my car and had a friend calibrate the 90 mm mass air to the 42lb injectors every since i did its had a slight misfire .idle is fine but as soon as your foot slightly touches the throttle it starts to flutter a slight bit. ive replaced the plugs correctly gapped them , new plug wires , and new coil packs ... replaced the imrc plates withe the deletes and still does it. could it possibly be a bad injector? what else could i check .. also has a slight misfire at cruse speed down the road..

you'll probably need to run a real time computer hooked up to the engine to tell you...I'm sure one of the great Ford techs on this forum can tell youf for sure...I think one of your wires is bad

i had replaced the plug wires with new ones a few weeks ago but that didnt meen that one was bad. i put the old ones back on and didnt seem to have a issue with the idle misfire yet gotta drive the car to see if that took care of the cruse misfire issue also. replaced the old wires with the ford motorsport 9 mm wires must have gotten a bad wire in the set . thanks alot..

Start the car and go to first injector. unplug it. and if the car starts to stumble, reconnect it cause it's good. go the the next one, if you disconnect it and it acts the same (no stumble) there could be your problem. keep doing to all injectors.
Have you replaced the fuel filter and know for sure your fuel pumps are working? Did you check what your fuel pressure is?
with slight misfire cruising down the road, it could be a wire.

Did you ever solve the misfire issue? I have a built/supercharged 97 cobra and am having the same problem. I changed the coil packs, installed new wires, put new plugs in and everthings seemed ok for a couple days and it started missfiring again while hitting the gas at crusing speed. Was just driving the car and no misfire. What the hell?
