Default 1995 Cobra Odometer not working

Need some help. I recently bought a 95 Cobra. The odometer doesn't work. Where do I start troubleshooting? Is this a problem with the instrument cluster? All other gauges work. Is it connected to the the transmission? Please help

it is the gears that move the odometer inside the cluster, they are very small and made of a plastic that by this time is already coming apart.i had seen several.i think is the lube they use for them gears made them soft with time. i have try to fix it without good results.end up getting another cluster.

I appreciate you replying. It's crazy though... everything else works in the cluster with the exception of the odometer and trip meter. Thanks again

Hi to all. Just wanted to let you know that I have a '95 Cobra and mine just stopped working this past week! The speedometer works but the trip and odometer stopped spinning! I'm on the search for a fix.

Here are 2 sites that I found to repair the odometer and trip meter. Odometer Gears | 72 Croatan Road | Newport News, VA 23606 | 757.593.3478 and Search Results For: odometer. Hope that helps.
