hi. i have a 97 cobra and it's been running too hot. it's overheated a couple times and i heard that the cooling system could have an air pocket and it's called being airborne. has anyone heard of this and how can i fix it? the dealer said they could use a vacuum system to flush out the air pocket. thanks.

The radiator needs to be changed. Its really easy

I would put the car on jack stands, take the cap off the coolant degas bottle and pump the top radiator hose for like 5 mins. put the cap back on and run the car with the heat on high. Watch the temp and if it starts to go past halfway on the temp gauge, turn it off and let it cool some, then pump the radiator hose some more.
It took awhile to get my Cobra right.

Does it do it when you are driving on the highway or, when you are stopped? If its only overheating when you are stopped i would be checking to see if your cooling fan is working.
