Default 2003 Mustang Cobra mass airmeter

I need a little help, I want to clean the mass air flow because I am having a problem I belive is related to it.
1st how do I clean it,with what?
2nd, what are the problems associated with the mass air meter?
I want to see if it is the same issue that I am having,I am sure it needs cleaning anyway ,I just want to do it the right way.
I have all the basic mods on the car, the issue I am having is it sometimes stalls when I decelerate from a shift @ 5000 rpm to the next gear.( quick release of the accelerater pedal) All adive would be great!

clean it with MAF cleaner from autozone, etc. or sensitive electrical parts cleaner.

some issues can include a high idle, stalling, or all around sketchy performance.

ok just dont touch the actual sensor, and let it dry before you start up the car.

isopropyl rubbing alcohol dipped in a Qtip, gently rub it on the MAF elements!

more than likely it's the throttle body or cable linkage not the MAF...

Yeah you can spend $8 on a can of MAF cleaner, after you use it once you have 99% of it still sitting in the can on your shelf or 75 cents for a bottle of rubbing alcohol! I know which method I use!
Another advantage of alcohol is it dries instantly!
