Default Need basic coolant flush tutorial

I can't seem to get the FAQ or the search terms to work correctly. I need to do the basic 50,000 mile flush for my '97 Cobra.

The old school way is just take off the top hose and stick the garden hose in the radiator, run the car until clear water comes out of the return hose from the block. . Then drain and fill it with Prestone.

Now I KNOW nothing can be that easy on a Cobra so where's the coolant flush 101 tutorial?

Thanks for the response,
No, this coolant is fine, just doing PM/ however, old school was iron block, iron heads. Now it’s a new day. I pulled the heads off a parts car I have (1995 Volvo 940 turbo which also has an iron block with alloy heads) The head gasket was five years old, and here’s what I found (and why I got the car so cheap).

The machine shop said minerals in the tap water, mixed with the antifreeze accelerates electrolysisbetween the iron block and alloy head, the deposits clogged up the water jacket between the two. (which helped blow the gasket a second time and toast the head),

In this case I can’t even find the drain for the block, the only plug I see on the passenger side of the block, is in front, next to the AC compressor.

I'm reluctant to use city water since I can’t get it all out.

i think just a drain n fill is ok mainly because you have an aluminum block and heads.the 03 cobra has an iron block. it is a 32valve right?

you can buy coolant flush. You drain the used coolant, fill your radiator with the flush and water, run the car and heater all the way up for 10 min, then drain, and then replace with 50/50
