Default Still Chasing Flipping squeak(s)

OK, I've forsure narrowed one matalic noise to the TOP, which is going to be changed when my buddies lift is freed up.

2nd one (I realized a week ago I had two seperate things going on) on this one if I remove the belt the squeak stops. I've changed both idler and tensioner pulley neither one was in bad shape and it did not fix the squeak.
The squeak is worst when car has set for a day or so, but it always goes away after a few minutes of driving and varies with the RPM's. Could it be the water pump? Would that explain why it stops after the engine is warmed up? You know hot liquid moving, metal expands, etc, etc. Has anyone else seen this?

This one is driving me nuts, my neighbors are all calling me "squeaky" they are all corvette owners, needless to say I remind them where all corvettes with over 40k miles go, back to the tupperware factory for recycling but it's getting old.

I'd suspect the belt itself.

Depending on mileage and what drek has been spilled on the belt...

I've had them squeak on the side lips of the accessory pulleys after they get some age on 'em. Also, visually check the alignment of all your pulleys with a good straight edge. Just one a little out of whack will cause a squeak.

Belt looks good, and I've tried rubbing it with ivary soap bar to see if it quits, didn't make any difference, but that was just an idea I had to try to test belt theory.

Default Finally no morning squeak

Dana W , I'm glad you responded and pushed me over the edge to try a new belt.

After changing and trying everything else I replace the belt and squeak is gone, the old Dayco belt looks like new, no cracks, no rub marks, etc. I even took the thing off a few weeks ago and inspected it and could not visually see anything wrong. But by the same token all the pulleys, AC, Water-pump, etc. all felt fine, no rough spots or that kind of stuff.

New Gates belt and now all I hear in the morning is the Magnaflow exhaust.
