There are 3 different versions of the 99-04 SVT Cobra Heads with the best being the Jan 05's with revised cooling passages and 9 thread spark plug holes. Cylinders 7 and 8 are are prone to detonation and overheating as well as plug backouts in the earlier model Heads due to a bad cooling design. Many Tuners pull timing from these 2 cylinders when burning a custom tune compared to the other 6. And to answer your question ticking was a pretty common thing with the 03's, lots of guys ran 5W20 when 5W30 is a better choice. I wouldn't let it deter you from buying a Terminator, they RULE!
