Default question about cobra infamous head tick

im still looking for 03-04 cobra.....next question is about the infamous engine tick on the cobra. is there a safe mileage for the cobra to have to say if the tick was gonna occur it would have done so by such and such miles. say for instance if no tick after 20,000 miles then safe to say it wont happen.......what was the precentage that 03-04 cobras had this issue. 2 out of 10 for example.......

There are 3 different versions of the 99-04 SVT Cobra Heads with the best being the Jan 05's with revised cooling passages and 9 thread spark plug holes. Cylinders 7 and 8 are are prone to detonation and overheating as well as plug backouts in the earlier model Heads due to a bad cooling design. Many Tuners pull timing from these 2 cylinders when burning a custom tune compared to the other 6. And to answer your question ticking was a pretty common thing with the 03's, lots of guys ran 5W20 when 5W30 is a better choice. I wouldn't let it deter you from buying a Terminator, they RULE!
