I have a 95 svt cobra in which i just changed the fuel pump and swapped out the cam for a F-303 cam also upgraded to a full MSD Ignition system with 6A ignition box, TFI Coil, and a billet distributor. I tried to start the car the car wouldnt start

. I tested every thing from fuel pump and tested all the ignition component and all are working fine and all i can think of is when i installed the distributor i made sure the #1 piston was at TDC and i installed the distributor the same way i had marked the stock dist. and ive heard that could be the problem because i dont know whether or not it was at TDC of the
compression stroke or the
exuast stroke? or something like that that someone had told me so if someone can help clarify this situation in detail of how to determine these certain TDC it would be greatly appreciated.
