I have the basic mods putting 450rwhp down. I am thinking about going with a ported steggy or just a simple gear swap with a decent set of tires. Since we break every speed limit in the country by 3rd gear, I thought the gears would be the way to go price wise, hoping to get traction with the right tires. Sometimes the right gear as you know can mean that extra car length vs the extra power that may or may not cost traction loss. Just a thought?
What is the car primarily used for? Daily driver? or 1/4 mile runs or both? With the 6 speed and some sticky tires you can easily run 4.10s without too much drivability loss, if the sky is the limit, go for 4:30s...of course a 100/NOS single shot can easily put those pesky Ls camaros/corvettes away, your engine can handle it

It is the stock 3.55's. I thought about the 4.10's which will make 1st useless and maybe 2nd unless the tires hook but 3rd would be killer. Its just a street car. I'm just looking for a little extra step. The question is finding a good all around tire that will hook this side of a M/T or equiv that can be used on the street.
4.30's on an 03-04 Cobra isn't the best choice being a forced induction car, I wouldn't do ANYTHING to your rear end except installing a Billetflow IRS Brace, your gearing is FINE with the Eaton. I have a friend that is giving Steg a run for his money doing Eaton and Plenum Ports, PM me for his link! Lots of the top SVT guys have switched their business to him!
And YES porting your Eaton is the Best next Mod you could do!
I may wait until this fall or even around march of next year. I was planning on a whipple but for the money, its hard to beat a steggy. For full out race, a whipple/kb is awesome, but for a street toy, the ported job looks like a good deal.

Ported blowers in 03/04 Cobra's are AMAZING, good choice.
I will have to do a search to get all the details, but there is a guy with a ported eaton and a auto that ran a 10.24 @ 130mph. If your looking for a fun/fast street car, its the way to go. I saw a stage 5 steggy vs a kb w/ 17lbs and there was less than 1 car difference- kb came out top but it has a better top end. But for 2-3K difference in the blower price, its not a hard decision especially if money is tight.
