I have an 01 cobra and whenever I take my foot off the clutch it makes a faint whining/hissing noise. It immediately goes away as I begin to put pressure upon the clutch pedal. Does anyone have any idea why this is going on?
-thanks

It's easy if you can get it on a lift, you'll have to drop the tranny!
Do you have over 100K miles on the car? It would be a good time to change the clutch as well. You not gonna cause a big amount of damage running it like that for awhile, you might get some scuffs on the bearing retainer but that can be smoothed out when you get it apart!
Its got 60K miles. I have no means of doing all of that and it seems like the labor is going to be expensive. I guess I will just ride around with my foot touching the clutch

Don't ride the clutch you'll wear it out quicker and you have a lot of life left in that clutch at 60K, I rebuilt my motor at that mileage and the clutch looked perfect so I reused it!
All the bearings in the clutch setup need to be packed in grease well or through time you can get that squeaking and grinding!
