My 2003 SVT's A/C is not blowing cold. I tried replacing the A/C switch under the hood and also checked the coolant level which was fine. At this point I wanted to check to see if there is anything else I should do before biting the bullet and bringing her into the shop. Any suggestions?
idk,,, mine was weird like that for awhile. Do you let it sit for long periods of time without driving it like winter? For a whole summer mine did this and the minute i started calling shops to ask about a freon refill it started working.. So just threaten the car and tell it its going to the shop and it will start.. lol no it might just need a refill

yeah,,, then the a/c probably needs recharged..... but never know, with mine i swore the a/c was done,,, but i ran it full blast while driving a couple times not working and then one day it worked....

When you turn it on, does the AC clutch engage? Or, if it engages, does it cycle on and off? One thing to check. You sid you replaced the switch under the hood. Did you mean the low pressure switch on the accumulator? If you did, then this would tend to lead me to believe you have a low refrigerant situation. You might try checking the fuses, too, it you AC clutch does not engage at all.
I had a similar situation about three years ago. Was low on refrigerant and, using the dye kit you can buy at Autozone, etc., determined my compressor was leaking at the front seal. I decided to buy all the necessary tools so I could do AC repair and fixed it myself. But, that's like $250 in tools - AC manifold gauge and vacuum pump.
