1998 Mustang Cobra transmission? T45 or borg warner?
I'm looking at a 1998 Cobra that was built in 12/97. It has 34,500 miles on it. How do I know what transmission does this car have in it? Was anything changed or decontented during this year (1998)? Anything I should look for when I go up there to look at it?
I believe there were some minor engine parts updated. The biggest change between 98 and the 96-97 was they stopped putting strut tower braces on in the engine compartment.
So just to run off of his question, whats the 99 got in it?

99 has the same..5 spd Tremec, all Cobras do except Terminator...I feel that 98 is way overpriced at $15,000. a quick scan of Ebay shows many great Terminator Cobras and low milage upgraded cars for vis a vis the same price...I'd personally look for one someone has added upgrades to since as soon as you get a stock car you will spend a small fortune modifying it.
