I am looking to buy this guy's 2003 Cobra. The cobra has the following mods: long tube headers, off road h pipe, magnaflow catback, 26 spline input shaft, pro 5.0 shifter, lightning force intake, c&l mass air meter, c&l inlet tube, bbk throttle body, 2.75 inch pulley, afco heat exchanger, larger stainless heat exchanger coolant tank, intrax lowering springs, nos 125hp wet kit with purge, bottle warmer and custom switch kit. He is saying it dynod at 520rwhp no nitrous and on the bottle 610rwhp. Does 520whp sound right as the blower is stock and not ported?
I don't know if he's telling you the truth or not but those numbers don't sound impossible. I would just ask him for the dyno sheet. It should have the car year, make & model, date of the test, and customer name on it. If he doesn't have it, tell him to call the people who did it. If he's evasive, then don't believe him. I'm pretty sure most of us know exactly where are dyno report is- I know I do...

..As do I with my current car. He says he doesn't have the sheet on him, but can get it from the shop whenever. The only reason I'm questioning this is because I always read of non-ported stock s/c cobras doing anywhere from 425-475rwhp usually. I thought 520rwhp sounded a bit high. I know a friend of a friend who made the same numbers, but on a ported charger.
I wouldn't believe anything that is not on paper, also I'd make him pull out as many receipts as possible to document the upgrades if they are not visually apparent...remember it's "buyer beware" and "sold as is" once you hand over the loot...good luck, be careful!

Of course, I'm just trying to see if the numbers sound likely.
Those numbers are inflated!! an unported Eaton is NOT gonna put down 520 RWHP! I'd estimate 100 less! 440 Tops! And FYI stock unported 03-04 Cobras put down about 370 not 425-475!

That is what I was thinking.. I've even seen 470's. Anymore input on this?
To get over 500RW you gonna need a Stage IV Eaton Port including the Throttle Body Plenum,a 2.75 upper and 4LB Lower,
Upgraded Fuel System preferably with twin GT pumps.
Long Tubes aren't essential but they'll give this setup 20+HP so your good there!
Like I said before that setup will put down about 440!
I'm guessing 440-450rwhp max. no way he can be pushing 520rwhp unported, like mentioned. With my mods and ported eaton coming soon, i was estimating around 480rwhp. I would def ask for the dyno sheet or call the place he got it dyno'd at, they usually keep that stuff on file in the computer, or most do. With nitrous, i don't see it being over 560rwhp. **And make sure to check out the A/F ratio before and after the nitrous hit.**

Those are inflated numbers. The headers will help you make more horse power but not down there with 4 valve mod motors. If I were a betting man I bet that those 520 rwhp numbers are on spray. You are not going to get that much power from a stock blower no matter how hard you spin it. If he really wants to sell the car tell to let you take the car to the shop (with him coming along of course) and get the car dynoed. If it makes the power he says it make you pay for the pull, If it doesn't he pay for the pull. That would resolve any unanswered questions you may have.
