my suggestion would be long tubes lol there's a huge difference in power between the two.

Default ok, what long pipes should i consider?

if i go the long pipe header route, which should i consider. also, what should i do about the bassini x pipe. it was on the car when i bought it. should it be cut and reconfigured or should i get a xpipe for the long pipes?

X-pipes for long tubes. Might want to check your emissions standards for your area, I can't put long tubes on mine because colorado emissions are insane. They check to make sure you have the stock configuration with a diagram of the stock exhaust.

Best Bang for the Buck would be the MAC Ceramic Coated LT's!
The ONLY shorty even worth considering is the JBA which are Awesome but Big $$$
I'd mate the LT's up with a Shorty O/R H! Sell that Bassani X and you'll have more than enough cash!
