Default Spring Codes: 99-01 Cobra Convertibles / Coupes

If anyone has a 99-01 cobra convertible, would you mind posting the spring codes?

Ford does not list replacement springs by car model, only by spring code.

The vehicle certification (VC) label is located on the left-hand front door jamb.
The spring code portion of the vehicle certification (door tag) label identifies both the front and rear springs under "SPR"

The first letter and number indicates the front spring code.

The second letter and number indicates the rear spring code.

Although I am primarily interested in convertibles, anyone who has a 99-01 coupe feel free to post if you can but please indicate that you have a coupe, I would like to compile a small database of spring information for mustangs.

Thanks,

-Zach

I have an '01 coupe. The code under SPR says BB55 and under that it says UPC. I'm not sure why you need these. I ordered new springs for mine, and they did not ask for these codes. I hope I got the right ones. It does seem to sit pretty high.

I find that hard to believe since Ford racing lists their parts by car and year...since the application for springs is so wide ranging their may be no need to list individual years.

Yeah, that's part of the problem. They have dozens of different spring for different applications. Mustangs have about 20 springs that were used for different reasons and on different option packages.

And true, Ford Racing lists parts by application, model, and year but Ford Replacement Parts does not. To some extent you can narrow parts down by year and model but on springs you have to have a code. Either off the spring (ie DAR) or off of the door tag (ie BB55)

Cobra coupes and Convs. used the same spring in the rear prior to 2003.
