Default Mustang Cobra is killing me...

I have a 1997 Ford Mustang Cobra Conv...
Sometimes the car has no power, it shakes and vibrates. When I turn igniton key to position II, electric fan comes on (even if the engine is cold) and the fuel pump which is located in the tank will start to whine and it should stop after 3-4 seconds but the pump continues to whine. I start the car, it shakes, vibrates, fuel consumption is 1 mpg...it drinks like a english cricket team.
Another think too, sometimes when I turn ignition key to II, the pump whines for about 3-4 seconds then stops, fan is off too and If I start the car, it would run fine, like new.
Check engine is on but I cant read codes until tomorrow.

Any advice?

hm, this is just my two cents, but it sounds like you have a short somewhere, i would say maybe wired the fan to come on all the time, but since it only does it once and a while, thats out the window. i would start my checking the grounds. let us know what you find out. I hate electrical problems lol.

Yeah, this sounds like the ECU might be bad...

Can't find the OBD II port. Where is that located?

Look under the steering wheel/dash area to the right and you'll see the port to plug it in.

Not trying to be a dick here but it sounds like you have problems beyond what a message board can help you with. OBD is definatley located under the dash where your right leg would be if you were driving. If it's not there I would consider setting the car on fire and collecting the insurance. Haha. Just kidding ( it's worth a thought though).
