Default 2004 Mustang Svt Cobra Advice

Hows it going guys? New to this site forum and was looking for some advice on my 04 cobra. I bought the Termi about 2 weeks ago with 37,800 original miles. When i open it up on the freeway in 2nd or 3rd gear the engine seems to hesitate abit and doesnt display a smooth boost(wine). I have no idea what it might be. The vehicle comes with a aftermarket dynomax cat back with x pipe;a cold air intake and 2.7 pully with tune. When i open it up and give it gas theres a weird smell that comes from either the engine or exhaust cant be sure. Since then its parked until i can figure out whats wrong with it. Any advice is appreciated.

Could be one of a hundred things,
need to change fuel filter
dirty MAF elements
spark blow out by bad coil pack or plug
a glitch in the tune
that smell might be telling you your running too rich, are your tailpipes sooty black?
remember your gonna get a fuel smell out the exhaust running O/R H's and X's, you'll get used to it, haha
do you have a hand held tuner to datalog engine parameters?

id check the tention on the belt. and make sure the belt is in good condition, (not cracked, frayed, stretched). more than likely if the blower isnt sounding like it should (whine increasing with rpms) its slipping, and the smell is from the belt slipping. if so you may need to check into some idler pulleys so that you have enough belt wrap around the pulley to keep it from slipping.

You have some symptoms of a blown fuel rail pressure sensor (FRPS), along with what brutal metal mentioned.

yea ur right, i need to check the air filter. that i will do tomorow on my day off. A friend also mentioned about the spark plugs so that might be an idicator. I do have a diablo sport tuner but when i tried to download it to the car it said that it couldnt because it had one on already. So im going to take it to ford so they can re-flash the drive so i can upload the diablo. Thanks though; it helps.

The belt is in good condition i checkd it. It does have an idler(motoblue). So no sign of slipping. I will double check though just to be sure.

I think you have to restore your factory tune from the Diablo handheld, otherwise you might lose the ability to reinstall ($$). Also, you'd do better going to a performance shop with a dyno than Ford. The Ford shops are great, but don't usually shine with modified performance vehicles.
