Default cobra svt 2004 factory car alarm. start engine alarm goes off

Hi I had a after market alarm put on my car. Stuff happened to it, had the ford dealer dissconnected it. Said there was a button under the dash to do this. I have been driving around fine without it for some time. last night it goes off. car would not start. tow truck driver come out, and removes a switch under dash that was flashing green and red. thought we disarmed it. towed it to ford dealer ship, and then alarm goes off againl. I try to start it, and it starts with the alarm going off at the same time. can some one please help me with this . the after alarm company is out of business, and the ford dealership has there head up there you know what? would this be the factory alarm or after market? I never recieved a clicker for the ford mustang, and the after market clicker broke. ??

Factory alarm is the PATS system and a blinking light in the dash to just let those who look in your car know.
Sounds like an aftermarket alarm. Look under your dash for wiring and in the engine bay. Has to be a part that makes that noise and i would start tracing back the wiring from it. If you don't have the remote for it and the company is out of buisness, i would remove it from the car. go with another one from a reputable company. hope this helps.

oh, or take it to a shop that installs aftermarket alarms, they should be able to help alot better than Ford can.

find the horn or module or whatever it is that produces the noise for that alarm. disconnect the wires running to it. once your ears stop ringing, trace those wires and remove everything associated with that alarm system.
