Dont jump into buying anything, try cleaning the MAF first could be dirty and not broken. "The guy at the shop" wants to sell you a new MAF and O2 sensors, not help you. Those parts rarely fail.

Check our tech articles section for our tuneup articles.

Buy a service manual, all the procedures you need to tuneup your car are there.

Buy a scanner also. I bought one when I had a problem for about $100.00. It told me the code and with the shop manuel, I made the repair and cleared the code. for what I spent on the scanner and the part, I feel I came out on top. Plus, I keep the scanner!

i have a 97 cobra....no cats and bought 3 different brands of mils none of them corrected my CEL i then replaced the o2's still same codes...so i took out the rear o2's and the car runs better actually...i am getting a charger soon and i am haveing the chip by pass the rear o2 sensers....MILS are a waste of money in my opinion...everyone i have talked to and has used them had bad luck...

Ok guys... update... just ordered the new MAF from anderson motorsports...pro-m 80mm with filter for a total of $210.50.... just would like everyone to know about their sale! just in case ur in the market for a new MAF
on a side note... kinda sucks how cobra accessories are "special order" and take longer... but i guess that comes with the territory for bein part of the bad a** car club SVT!
