max. psi? well that depends on how you are gonna drive it. you want it streetable? if so i personally wouldn't go more than 9psi. but if you are going a 1/4 mile at a time, thats different...you could probably go upwards of 12 or more if its intercooled ( it should be anyway). this is just my opinion. how many miles on your cobra?

Maximum psi isn't really the question. The question is how much will your block and internal components withstand before blowing apart. I have done some research on this as I am about to install a charger on mine and from what I have learned, 450 rear wheel horsepower is a safe limit on these cars. I have read about people running over 500rwhp, but most of them blew their motors and a rebuild is not cheap. I estimate I should be right at 450rwhp with the 10psi pulley on my cobra. That is with a safe tune also, so there could be room to grow but I'm not risking it.

I'm putting a procharger 10 psi and later I plan on adding dishpan pistons and forged rods to lower the compression. I belive the block will stand stong at 14 psi. There is a 98 cobra that did the same and the car would do 200 mph with the stock block.
