i read some were that the 96-97 cobra engines werent good, and go with a 99 or newer cobra engine,is this true, and if so what would i have to do to make the 99 engine work, and what all will i have to change.but either way im getting a kenne bell super charger too.

Who ever told you that is stupid. The 99+s make what 10-15 more horsepower. Our blocks are the strongest made so far, our heads flow the most of any head on the intake side. Put on a vortech or procharger and you've got 450rwhp. The kenne bell is nice but you won't be satisfied.

why wouldnt he be satisfied? the kb is a great a unit, it wont have the top end power of a pro-charger (or any centrifugal) but on the flip side a pro-charger isnt going to make the low end power a kb makes. it all depends on what the main use of the car will be. if its track work, a centrifugal but if its a street car the kb is a better choice.
