have any of you tried to port your cobra intake? or heard of it being done? does the '01 cobra intake fit on the 96-98s? does the '01 piece flow any better? these might be silly questions, but im a pretty curious person, and im always willing to try something new.

I know someone has ported those intakes before. If you guys have April's issue of 5.0 mustang, there's a guy with a turbo cobra. In that article it says that his intake has been ported by Al Papitto. I doubt you wanna seek this guy out, but that fact means that it's possible and has been done. Just thought I'd share.

For I believe its $900. You get charged a core charge until you return the stock intake. You'll get about 15-20hp depending what mods you have on your N/A 99-01 cobra. If you go this route, I definetely recommend you get a dyno tune after installation. The ported intake makes the MAF run very rich under 4000rpm---so you can 'tighten' the powerband and reap the hp you should have under 4000rpm.
i have a 98. will they port 98s as well as 99 and 01s?
