convinced irs sucks. what bushings are good.

hi,

i'm convinced irs sux.I ran my car for the first time last weekend and the wheel hop sux, i thought it was like a rumor, but now im convinced. well, i take it that bushings are in need. What would be the best combo for bushings, and are they a pain to put on or what.

Kenny Brown has a setup that is supposed to reduce wheelhop on the IRS. The only real way to cure it, though, is to do the stick axle swap.

Monkey Boy is right - a stick axle is the best for drag racing, and you could probably get some money for your IRS package on E-Bay or whatever. I put in the Steeda bushings, it isn't too hard if you have a decent set of tools and a bit of patience. I could probably do it again, subframe and diff, in about 12 hours.
