Default Cobra hood scoops

Does anyone know where I can find the stock replacement hood scoops for a 94-98 cobra hood? I ordered a reproduction hood of 50resto but it didn't come with the scoops and Im having a hard time tracking down some. I haven't talked to a dealer yet because usually they are higher priced but if thats my only option I will just wanted to know if anyone had any other ideas, Thanks in advance!

Is it a hood for a 96-98 cobra or 94-95 cobra? The 94-95s have the same hoods as all of the GTs

Just got back from Stealership and the scoops are discontinued . Looks like we are stuck with hoods that have ugly holes in them

Hey, everybody!

I just ran across this thread and I've added the scoops for these hoods to our New Parts Suggestions list. I'll see what our New Parts Team says and I'll be sure to update this thread when they get back to me. It seems like someone needs to be providing these, so it looks like we should start!

well selling something in a "incompletable" state is hardly a form of "customer service"...I'd sure work you for a return if it was me and as a business owner myself Im sure you are aware that if the credit card company gets a "contest" you'll be forced take it back

While we are 100% customer-oriented and in certain conditions do make exceptions on returns, a contested purchase does not create a requirement to take it back.

If the customer doesn't have the originals from their car and can't find anything to use, we may be able to work something out, but any returns would need to be authorized by our Customer Service Team Lead. Furthermore, we do not advertise that these come with the scoop snorkels.

Iíve also notified our Web-Team to update the product page to let people know they arenít coming with the scoop snorkels and they need to re-use their originals.

That being said, if the customer would like to PM me and chat about their situation/options, I'd be happy to see what I can do for them. Beyond that, I have added scoop snorkels to our New Parts Suggestions list in hopes that we can carry them for you guys.

I don't blame AM at all I knew the hoods came with no scoops but I wasn't worried because when I was researching what hood I wanted I thought I found some and ordered them at the same time. Only to find out what they where selling was the black insert for the scoops. Again this was my fault for not understanding what that Co. Was selling but they should not have had the picture with the scoop in there ad it was very misleading (no it wasn't AM)
I do blame the aftermarket for dropping the ball on this. I don't understand how all the company's offer the cobra hood but don't offer the scoops. They all know darn well that people are putting these hoods on GT/V6's and will not have the scoops

I did the EXACT same thing, ordered what I thought were going to be scoops but instead got the mesh inserts, this was from late modelrestoration... When I contacted them they simply told me good luck I need to find the scoops at a junkyard or something... Anyhow I cancelled my order of the hood and instead went with a 2.5 inch cowl hood from HO fibertrends, I still don't think there is another hood out there that looks as cool as the factory cobra hoods from 96-98 though, how disappointing

Thanks for your patience and understanding.

I'm still working to try and bring some in for you guys. If I can, I'll definitely update you. Can you PM me your order number, just so that I have your info if/when I find out more about these and whether or not we can/will be stocking them?

Let me know, I'd be happy to update you as soon as I am.

Take care, have a great night!
