Question What are the best Springs for a '01 Cobra?

What are the best springs to put in a 01 Cobra?, Eibach, H&R, Maxspeed?
Does anyone know Matrix springs?

Am I going to need a Macaster kit?

Thanks in advance,

Welcome Aboard!
The Matrix and Maxspeed springs are cheap and they truely suck.
The last thing you want to go cheap on your Cobra is springs.
The Eibach Sportline springs will be the best spring for your Cobra by far! :thumbsup
You can get the Eibach Sportlines from www.tirerack.com .
I think you mean "Caster Chamber Plates".They help to align your
car properly. Also it's a good rule of thumb to install caster chamber plates
when lowering your car.The best C/C plates you can get for your
Cobra is the Steeda caster chamber plates. You can get them at
www.steeda.com .Good luck Patlitus and let us know how it go's.

You should consider going to coilover springs and shocks - there are many brands, but I would recommend Maximum Motorsports (http://www.maximummotorsports.com/) - its what I have and it really does the job.
Benifits are - adjustable ride height, vastly improved handling - from an understeering pig to a corner carving machine, better ride (yes - you can improve your ride and stiffness at the same time), lower sprung weight.
Negatives are the cost - a bit spendy.

Of course, it depends on how you are using your car - but if you want to lower it, improve the ride and maybe put it on the track (road course) for track events, coil-overs are the way to go - IMHO.

Good luck,
Doug

Doug..........what about for a 1998 cobra...........i was thinking of getting maximum motorsports front coilover kit but with rear conventional springs........can i still get a good ride quality with this setup instead of a full front and rear coilover? Also my cobra came with stock front 420lb. springs..........what rate coilover springs can i get to get good handling/comfortable ride with 18" wheels? MM suggested 250lbs. but some people say to go with 300 or 325 lbs.

How do you calculate the rating of coilover springs versus conventional springs?
Is it doubled or more? so a 250lb. coilover spring would be like having a 500+ lb. conventional spring?
