Hello, I just bought my first mustang the other day. It is a 1998 mustang cobra. My first question is what do they do 0-60 and the 1/4 mile? Also what is the first step at modding them, are there any major problems that these have. Thanks.

Congrats! I like the 98 Cobra look! Stock, they should do high 13s in the 1/4. 0-60 somewhere in the 5s.

Start with some gears 3.73 or 4.10's. It'll wake that bad boy up!!!!!!!!!

if you still have the stock shifter get rid of it. get a MGW, PRO 50, or TRIAX. also if you plan on staying N/A get either 4:10 or 4:30 gears. if you are going to go F/I then get 3:73's. the gears will really wake the car up. the reason for the shifter is that the stock one doesn't have shift stops and you can actually over shift the tranny. the t-45's in these cars are crap to begin with so there is no need to hurt them anymore than you have to. another good site for our cars is www.svtperformance.com
