i've got a 99 cobra and i've got a problem. the plastic piece above the hood that the windshield wipers go through has been cracked. it's the long black piece that runs right below the windshield all the way across. I gotta find a replacement for this piece.. so this is where i need the help. Does anyone know what the name of that piece is or where i can find a part number without having to pay for a service manual. any help will be greatly appreciated!

I believe you're looking for one of these. There isn't a picture to go with, the the description is right. Good luck, I recall they come out with simple hand tools. You might want to call your local recycler, that's a hell of an expensive piece of plastic. Jim.
