Just seen on the news about the carpet/floormat getting stuck on the accelerator. Interesting, wonder what the fix is.

A friend of mine said it is a trim plate that covers the carpet edge.

And that floormat thing - NO WAY will I have floormats in my stang! F the carpet - Ill replace it. Been bit by the floormat holding the pedal down just once too many times...

its the carpet, not the floormat. I got the letter from ford last week.
the way the carpet is cut and lays below the throttle pedal can get caught on the pedal & keep it from coming back up.

Likely of this really happening is not to high. If your worried about it, take it to ford dealership & spend half a day there to get it fixed, or get yourself some adhesive glue and glue the carpet down.
