Hey what's up guys, I'm new to this forum and basically mustangs, I'm a die hard vette head but like all american performance. I am trying to learn everything about domestic high performance cars cause I plan on going to uti in the future and opening up my own domestic high performance shop. I have a good knowlege about chevy engines but am almost completly clueless when it comes to ford.. in particular the mustang, but I don't really care about all the others just the mustang. I wanna know everything you guys can tell me about the old 5.0's and the new modular 4.6's... like take this for example, one of my buddies was telling me about a stock mustang engine, not sure which year or model but said you can throw a kenny bell on top and pump out 24 psi... on stock internals, no way I believed this but I also heard it from someone else and my jaw nearly dropped, that's pretty impressive... I believe it might have been the 03 or 04 cobra since he says it was an iron block..... but any bits and pieces of info, or whole damn articles would be appreicated... edumucate me on some mustang knowledge.

The 03-04 cobras do have a cast iron "boat anchor" block. They also have forged internals. So running high boost is no problem. If want basic specs and what not you could try ford.svt.com. They have the specs and build numbers and so forth. Not just on the 03-04 cobras but early models too. I have a buddy who just put a kenne bell on his 03 cobra, it is the 2.2, and a 75 shot n20. He runs 10.30's on drag radials. He no other mods other than the kb and juice. I can't remember exactly what boost he running but I think it 18-19 psi. Oh wait I forgot he did swap in a solid axle in place of the irs.
