Default Super Charger and exhaust

My plan is to install Vortech super charger with cooler to my -99 Cobra. Couple questions:

1. What do you think about Vortech? Does anybody has dyno data how much power it add? Vortech promise 170 hp with cooler.

2. Exhaust is important with Super Charger. What kind of exhaust you recommend? I already have Dynomax catback installed. It's good, because it's 3" all the way. Should I also install X-pipe? What do you recomment?

I also have K&N filter already.

Many feel Vortech makes the best centrifical superchargers on the market. Certainly they are one of the premier supercharger makers out there. Yes you should get an "X" pipe. There is an obvious seat of the pants improvement, unfortunately you'll have to get one catted as I see you live in the Peoples Republic of Kalifornia. If you've got the cash go headers too. Anything you can do to open intake and exhaust tracks always helps, with a blower the changes are multiplied.

Hmm, you live in Cali. This may be difficult for you. I'm almost positive that if you fart in your car while in that state, you will fail emission-testing.

I'll let someone that actually lives in California chime in on how restrictive things are. You could maybe go mid-length headers (I think those are 50-state legal?) and a nice X-pipe with cats in it, but I'm not even sure if you can touch your cats there.
