How can I tighten up stretched clutch cable on a 1997 Cobra?

Replaced factory clutch with a King Cobra about one year ago. The guys who did the job told me I needed a cable also. They said the one I had is stretched. The pedal is about 3" higher or further out than the brake pedal. The pedal has to be pushed to the floor to shift and doesn't engage until the pedal is all the way out.

Can this 'stretched' cable that is on there be tightened up, and if so how?

You'll need to get a new one.
