97 cobra thermostat

i was going to change thermostat in my 97 cobra was thinking of going with the 180 degree versus the 190 or 195 any advice? also is any damage done by not running a thermostat at all i know in older cars that was fine but when winter came it was time to put one back in. so can you run these dohc engines without a thermostat

a 180 stat would be fine but don't run without one. the coolant will flow to fast through the radiator and won't cool down and may cause your snake to run hot or overheat.

Highly agree with above. 180 would be fine. But Do Not go without one.
