Default offroad H-pipe versus catted H-pipe

Will an offroad h-pipe be way louder than a catted h-pipe? I have a 1998 cobra with 2 chamber flowmaster 40 series mufflers. I still have the stock 4 catalytic convertor h pipe on it. I want a louder, deeper sound but dont want it extremely loud as it is a daily driver and the drone already from the flows gets kinda loud on the highway. Will an offroad make the drone more pronounced than the catted version? Will the catted version at the least be a little louder and better sounding than my stock h pipe?

YES! it will be WAAAAYYY louder. LIke night and day if you are used to a catted X or H. It will get you noticed by racers and police alike.

Will be louder and not nice, the smog pump will make it sputter/backfire on deceleration, if you remove them also remove the smog pump with a pump eliminator kit.

My advice, better get one with high flow cats. You will retain emissions and reduce backpressure.

So the catted h-pipe should be noticeably louder than the stock 4 catted h-pipe without being obnoxiously loud? Or will the catted h-pipe not really be much louder than the stock one?

An H-Pipe w/high flow cats will be somewhat louder, but it sounds
good. Off road H-pipes just sound NASTY

So going from a 4 catted h-pipe to a 2 catted h-pipe should be a noticeable difference in the loudness without being annoying loud?

Will the interior drone be noticebly louder with an offroad h-pipe with the flowmaster mufflers?

Fords stock Cats and very, very restrictive, when you put a High flow H pipe it will wake the car up and yes it will be a bit louder, you will experience a drone in the cab but not as bad as a off road H pipe.

Venom.........thanks...........i will probably just go with the catted h pipe as i like to get on the beltway also and think it would be annoying with the loudness of an offroad h-pipe especially at 80-90 mph.
