if you go with a new motor from ford, the short block will all be the same. the differences are heads, cam, upper/lower intake, 1.7 roller rockers (vs 1.6) mass air meter and fuel injectors. i have read something wierd about the fuel injectors on the 93 cobras like they are 24 lbs and the maf is calibrated for 19 lbs but the computer compensates for the difference or something.

interesting, what cam and heads does it come with?? how much better is the intake then the stock HO, is it worth the extra 500 bucks to go with the cobra?? and if I do what would I need to replace with different stuff if I do go with it?

cam is from ford motorsport, its the E303 cam
the heads are available on 01 explorers i believe the GT40P heads which were cast iron. roller rockers are available from crane, or ford motorsport, and they are the 1.7 ratio. the intake flows considerably better than the stock HO intake
