Ok i am confused on the purpose of this. http://www.rpmoutlet.com/boost%20bypassc.htm
It seems very simple but I was wondering if anyone could break it down a little bit more and list the pro's and con's and i guess really the purpose of it. Has anyone done this to their 03/04 cobra?
What the system does is dump some of the boost from the manifold side of the blower back to the intake side of it, to limit the amount of boost the engine receives at WOT. So, you eliminate this bypass system, engine gets all the boost the blower is making, go a little faster. Cheapest power you'll ever get out of one of these
Naw its not the best thing to do, its the cheapest but for a daily driver your not going to notice much. If I were you, do the Mod and see how you like it.

I know this is an old post, but It is still relavant. I did the boost bypass and notice the boost it much more stable, it kicks in earlier and stays pegged longer, but one thing has happend.
In between gear shifts I get a delay in power, like it falls on its face for a second in between power shifts only, like the motor is catching up or something? Anyone else have this prob? Maybe it is because of my tune was done before I did the mod. Also I have a 2.8 pulley.
I switched it back, the problem went away, but it felt slower?
Anybody?

I done this just after I put the 2.8 on. My car did not nose dive like that. The power stayed constant.
Your car made more power than mine did though. My car put down 425 rwhp and 456 tq. Maybe it was just because I used a different dyno. I used a Mustang dyno no. 1750, I believe. I wasn't too concerned about the numbers I was worried about the a/f. After I put on the headers and x pipe I knew it would be running lean.

Hey JD04, With your mods: headers, Acufab, x pipe, tuned, so on, you should be around the 500 RWHP mark? I dont know what the differance is between the dyno types? But, I know you have done more mods than me, and I can imagine how your car runs!!!!

I am pleased with the car for now? I am considering one of the new big bore kb, probably the 2.6. As far as the dyno numbers, the tuner told me that if I had used a dynojet the numbers would have been 500 rwhp give or take few ponies. If I figured correctly when I added back drivetrain loss that still puts me at close to 500 hp at the crank, maybe just over 500.
