I have the choice of purchasing a 2003 Black SVT Cobra with 33,xxx miles or a 2004 Silver SVT Cobra with 11,xxx miles. Price is obviously different between the two but my MAIN CONCERN is if there is anything MECHANICALLY or PERFORMANCE WISE different between the two vehicles (i.e. was anything tweeked on the '04 that the '03 did not benefit from, etc.). Before I write the check, I want to make sure I made the right choice. FELLOW 'STANGERS UNITE TO HELP A BROTHA OUT! Thanks in advance for any and all advice

No, there the same.. I would personaly go for the lower miles.

the only thing, if you leave it stock, if the 03 has the 10th anniversary wheels/ interior on it, it may be worth more money in the long run, if you are into that kind of thing. other than that, they are the same

One other thing the early 03 cobras had a cooling issue with the left side head. It caused the engine to have a ticking noise and possible valve damage. Ford replaced the head for free, if the owner brought the car in.

Actually the revised heads were not released until 2005. It is possilbe to develop the tick in any 03/04 Cobra with stock heads.

Normally I would say go with lower miles, but the black one is faster.

Most of the bugs should have been worked out with the 04s. I think there may have been a small difference in the radio. I have a very early production run 03 and I haven't had any problems with it. In my opinion, nothin looks sexier than a clean black cobra.

04 did not have the tick tick problem also you will have more time on the warranty. That could save you big $$$$ down the road.
