Default 2003 cobra valve adjustment

Hey guys, My cobra makes a hell of a racket when I first fire it up. It sounds like the old days when hydralic (sp?) lifters were out of oil -ya know--kilink klink klink... then fades away after they pump up.
Mine used to fade away, now I can hear it when I am driving along, faint, but every so often, a metalic klink (random).
The oil pressure is fine. I tried to find a shop manual from ford on their website, but it doesn't look like the sell them.
Obviously, I haven't pulled a valve cover to see whats up, I thought I would blow this by you guys to see what you thought.

Thanks in advance.

Default Cobra noises

Does it sound like its coming off the left side? There was a problem with early-build motors in these with the valvetrain making noise because of sh!tty valveguides if I remember right. The dealer will (should?) replace the head for you, if thats what it is. Cheers. Jim.

That's right the early 03 cobra had a issue with the left side head. If I remember correctly it had something to with cooling. But if bought the car new you should have recieved a memo from ford. Or least I would think so.

I think its the hyd valve lash adjustors. I am going to go in and have a look. I post a request for the valve lash spec on another thread. Thanks for the info though
