I bought an 01 cobra used with 46,000 miles on it and the car has done nothing but break on me! My question is has anyone ever had a rearend break on them just putting the car in reverse? I wasn't beating on the car i just went to back into a parking spot and i just heard it break and now it sits until i can take it apart and look at it! Any ideas what happened and how much to fix it?

Depends on what part broke, was it a trans gear? the axle? axle gear?

Probably the car was not "treated right" by the previous owner, it is not common to break something going in reverse.

Yea its something in the rear axle i dont know if i should rebuild the pumpkin or get something new i dont have to much money- i dont know if its related to breaking my trans yoke and u joint at the track earlier this summer after i tried to launch at 3grand
