i recently purchased a white 98 convert. Cobra. Car runs great, in great condition and fast. 2 weeks later my check engine light turns on. I went to Autozone and rented the OBD scanner and it read out 2 codes: P1150,P1151 and both state: Manufactuer control fuel air metering and that fuel is lean. What?? before i take it to my mechanic is it something I can fix? Like, the oxygen sensors.

didn't the scanner come with a book explaining the codes?

you should also just buy a $40 scanner at www.harborfreight.com (this is what i have)

1150,1151 = lack of upstream heated O2 sensors. switch sensor indicates lean bank #2.

here's the .PDF file that i scanned a while ago of my Code Scanner's manual. you can download it and double check the codes. should be the same for all OBDII scanners.
