My'96 Cobra has a weird problem when warm. When you try to start it, the check engine light comes on and it starts and dies or idles roughly/ very rich. Now the kicker: If you turn the key on for a few seconds, then off and THEN start it, it does fine. Could this be a fuel pressure sensor problem? If not, any suggestions would be appreciated. The car runs great and it's an almost daily driver with 80K. Just kind of tired of doing the key on/key off thing every time I start it. No problem when cold starting. TIA! Also, I almost forgot, it pops NO codes.

first change your fuel filter, then check fuel pressure. a clogged fuel filter can take out your fuel pump.

More info: Fuel filter was the first thing I replaced. had it at my local dealer but they said it wouldn't do it. They probably didn't give it time to warm up.

i wonder if they changed the filter before they checked for the concern.
